Following an extensive consultation process, we have submitted a hybrid planning application for land north of Potters Lane to Hertsmere Borough Council.

The proposals would deliver much-needed new homes and affordable housing, alongside a new care home, a permanent home for SHEMA and extensive publicly accessible open space. They would also provide new walking and cycling connections, biodiversity improvements and enhancements to local access, creating lasting benefits for the local community.

If you support our proposals, we would be very grateful if you could share your views directly with Hertsmere Borough Council’s planning team. Your support can help demonstrate the benefits the proposals would bring to the area.

This relates specifically to the submitted application for land north of Potters Lane, rather than our emerging vision for the wider Cowley-on-the-Hill masterplan.

I support the provision of 154 new homes, helping to meet the critical housing needs across Hertsmere. I support the provision of 50% affordable housing, making an important contribution towards meeting the significant need for affordable homes in the borough. I support the fact that over 40% of the application site is dedicated to publicly accessible open space and green infrastructure. I support the inclusion of a care home, helping to meet the need for specialist accommodation for older people in Hertsmere. I support the improved access and connectivity, including enhanced walking and cycling routes linking the new homes, community facilities, open spaces and surrounding neighbourhoods. I support the proposals for a new synagogue, which would provide an important new home for the existing and growing South Herts and Edgware Masorti community.
